What to Bring to Camp

What to Bring Every Day

We strongly recommend campers bring all of their belongings in a backpack. Please don't worry if the backpack is heavy — campers don't have to carry it around all day.

  • Lunch, labeled with your child's first and last name
    • All lunches must be peanut and tree nut-free! See our nut-free policy
    • We recommend a reusable lunch box.
    • Lunches are kept with the campers until lunch time, so include ice packs as appropriate.
    • The lunch box should be packed in your camper's backpack.
  • Reusable water bottle, labeled with your child's first and last name
  • Sunscreen, labeled with your child's first and last name
    • All campers should come to camp fully sunscreened.
    • Campers are encouraged to bring either spray or roll-on body sunscreen and a sunscreen face stick. A roll-on sunscreen families have reported liking is called Solar Buddies.
    • Campers will reapply sunscreen at approximately 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm daily.
  • Closed toe shoes
    • Keens, Crocs, or other closed toe sandals are allowed.
  • Towel, to sit on during lunch and to use after water games
  • Hat or visor, labeled with your child's first and last name
  • Change of clothes in a Ziploc bag that is labeled with your child's first and last name, for after significant water games or on rainy days
  • (Optional) Bug spray, if prone to or sensitive to insect bites

... requirements for Pre-K Campers

Underwear and socks must also be included in the Ziploc bag that contains a change of clothes (see above, what to bring every day). Please ensure bag and all extra clothing are labeled with your child's first and last name.

... requirements for Medicine

  • Prescription medicines, including Epi Pens, must be labeled with the original prescription label.
  • For campers arriving by car, all medicines must be given to the Nurse. EpiPens will be returned on the last day of camp.
  • For campers arriving by bus, all medicines must be given to your Bus Captain. EpiPens will be returned at the end of every camp day and collected again on the morning of each camp day.

... requirements for a Rainy Day

  • Raincoat, labeled with your child's first and last name
  • Shoes that can get wet
  • Waterproof bag/pouch to keep items in the backpack dry
  • (Recommended) Baseball hat, as the bill keeps rain off the face
